I Wrote These Things - Weeks Ending 10/28

First off, I had two new things at VICE: a piece on Suburbicon and the weird way each George Clooney film is worse than the last, and the new Fall of 1997 column, featuring Boogie Nights and Happy Together.

I reviewed the very lovely Wonderstruck, as well as the provocative The Square.

I also did a NYFF wrap-up, with capsule review of those two, plus Last Flag Flying, Lady Bird, Mudbound, and more.

Rather than review The Snowman, I saw that its hero is named "Harry Hole" and just did a list of silly character names.

I did the monthly run-down of what new movies are streaming where.

Also did a round-up of where to stream good, older horror movies this Halloween.

I did a gallery of Monty Python fan art, because I had an excuse to.

Oh, and this thing I wrote about Alec Baldwin being a dick on Twitter got a fair amount of reaction and pick-up.

DVD/VOD guides for 10/17 and 10/24.

And here are your Deuce recaps, of episodes six and seven.
